Every month we will have a monthly
prayer topic. We want to encourage you to pray along with us since one
puts a thousand to flight and two puts ten thousand to flight. If you
can, pray at any of these times – 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm. We’ll
always know someone is praying with us and power will be going forth. Of
course any time that works for you will be good.
Pray wherever you are at the following times with
Center 31:
6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm........Call it the
"6-10-2-6-10 times"!

Prayer
Topic: Send Me
Isaiah 6:8
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:
“Whom shall I send, And who
will go for Us?”
Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
Seek the Lord while He may be found.
Let’s
pray that we will
be a light on a hill showing the way to life and salvation. Let’s pray
that we
will be salt to the hurting so that God can heal. Let’s pray that we
will walk
circumspectly before God, that we will make the choices that will count
for
eternity to bring glory to our Lord. Let’s pray that we will be healed
and
transformed by hearing and doing God’s Word, so that we can be sent out
to
touch the lives of the hurting, lost and hopeless.
Remember
the cashier at the grocery store. Did she have a
yearning for truth and love? Remember the attendant at the gas
station. Did he
believe in something that is not TRUE? Think of the shoe sales
person, or the
one who was handing the garment to you in your size? What does eternity
hold
for them? Look at the faces of people on the photo graphs around you? Do
they
know the Savior, Jesus Christ who alone can bring restoration to all who
secretly cry to Him?
You are the Body of Christ. You are His
voice, His hands and
feet. You are the individual who can touch the life of another,
redeeming them
from the snare of death to the eternal joy of the Presence of God.
Read
God’s Word daily, strengthen yourself in your inner man
(spirit) by praying consistently. May we hear the voice of the Good
Shepherd
and obey Him to reach those around us. Be ready to witness about Jesus
and what
a difference He has made to you.
My
daughter Shaylee (8) is always armed with tracks when we
go out. She and Josh always look for opportunities to witness about
Jesus, our
Lord (Master) and Savior. JESUS IS LORD! Don’t believe the deception
that you will be rejected or
slandered. It very rarely happens. Even if it does, remember that when
you
confess Jesus before men, Jesus will confess you before Father God.
“Lord,
May we be found faithful to You. May our lives and
conduct, thoughts and actions be pleasing to You. May we stand in the
gap for
those who don’t know You. May we speak Your Words of Life to those we
meet
daily and win souls to You. May the lost who don’t
know You come to know You. I love You Lord with all
my heart. You are just and true. You are real and alive. You ... are my
God. Here I am Lord ... send me.”
Proverbs
11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of
life, And he who wins souls is
wise.
Please
remember to pray for our President, our Pastors, our
Leaders, our Parents and our children - for salvation, safety, strength
&
wisdom.
God Reveals
Himself In His Name: Alpha and Omega
Alpha
and Omega - (Α) and (Ω) These two characters were the
first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. This descriptive title
expresses
the eternal nature of God - the beginning and the end (Rev. 1:8; 22:13).
Revelation 1:8 (Amplified Bible)
I
am the Alpha and the
Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord God, He Who is and Who
was and
Who is to come, the Almighty (the Ruler of all).
Praise God for His Name, HE NEVER CHANGES -
HE IS THE SAME.
Our Lord God is dependable and reliable. He is not fickle or moved by
emotions!
Isn’t that great!
My
husband Mark took me New York City, and I remember seeing
the Statue of Liberty for the first time. How stately and majestic Lady
Liberty
looked from afar. Her stance is a symbol of Freedom and Justice. As we
stepped
onto the island, her grandeur and magnitude where inconceivable from
that
distance. Her face alone is taller than a man. She remains a symbol of
strength
and honor.
This
beautiful statue of copper is slowly eroding, it has a
beginning but will eventually have an end. Yet God remains. He is the
ONLY ONE
who has always existed, the Creator of all we see today. All mankind
(and
womankind) have been fashioned by Him. He created everything from nothing (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-4,
Hebrews 1:10 and Revelation 3:14). Because He created everything, He is
the One
who sustains everything and keeps everything together (Colossians
1:15-17). He
has power and authority over all things. He is the CHIEF of all,
ALMIGHTY
(Matthew 28:1).
Meditate on this:
HE IS - HE WAS - HE IS TO
COME - the ALMIGHTY - RULER of
ALL.
Psalm
139:18 (New King James Version) If I should count
them (God’s thoughts towards us), they would be more in number than the
sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.
We
were made by God in secret, knit together by Him. We live
out our lives before Him, He is with us every day. Will we bring Him
glory?
Will we be doers of His Word? Will we delight in Him, rather than our
own
selfish desires? God is committed to you. He has done everything for you
to
live in victory. Your success lies in how much of the Word of God you DO
by
FAITH! God is also the final destination. God is the place where
everything
will conclude. At the end of our lives as we know them, we will all
stand
before God Almighty, the Alpha and Omega, and give an account for how we
lived.
Romans 14:11-12 (New King James Version)
For it is
written: “As I live, says the LORD,
every knee shall bow to
Me, and every tongue shall
confess to God.” So then each of us shall give account of
himself to God.
Our
God is faithful, He is not a “one night stand”. He is
with you, loving you for the long haul - how about for eternity. He is
dependable, certain, loyal, rock-like, secure, stable, steadfast,
steady,
sturdy, sure, to be counted on, tried, tried-and-true, TRUE,
trustworthy,
trusty, unfailing! WOW - that’s the PERSON we need in our lives.
Recognize Him as your ALPHA and OMEGA!
Let your life honor
God - From the beginning to the end.
Need Some Prayer? THEN PRAY!!
Every day will present new challenges, situations,
irritations and opportunities for prayer.
James
5:7-16 (New King James Version) says:
Therefore
be patient, brethren, until the coming of the
Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth,
waiting
patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also
be
patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do
not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be
condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! My brethren, take
the
prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering
and
patience. Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the
perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord
is very
compassionate and merciful. But above all, my brethren, do not swear,
either by
heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,”
and
your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment. Is anyone among
you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone
cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call
for
the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with
oil in
the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and
the
Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be
forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one
another, that you may
be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
I love the Word of God. I’m sure you do, too.
The Word has a
way of correcting the little attitudes we believe we have a right to,
that we
can hold on to ... but no - God has a higher way of dealing with things.
See
verse 13: "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray." The
word suffering is also the word ‘afflicted’, which means ‘troubled’, not
because of sickness or disease. If you are troubled about something, it
is up
to YOU to pray.
Recently
I wanted to help some people, and wished that I
could have all the means to help them. I was talking to the Lord about
it, and
He told me that if I met their needs and helped them out, why would they
need
to trust in the Lord? Why would they need to depend or rely on Him as
their
Alpha and Omega. If they don’t learn to truly rely on God, they will not
become
intimately acquainted with Him. They will not know Him as their source
and
their faithful God for permanent answers. They won’t know Him as the
Righteous
Wise God who loves them with the everlasting love. He will show them
what
adjustments they need to make.
No matter what anyone tells me, I have seen
the faithfulness
of God in my life.
You
won’t convince me otherwise. I have been in situations
where only God knows the way out, and He has provided the answer, a way
of
escape. We have to know Him like that. It’s up to us to pray
for
ourselves and develop our faith in God by hearing His Word.
As
a young youth leader, our Youth Pastor Mike, told us that
when people come to us for prayer with their marriages, finances,
employment,
family, futures etc., we should encourage them to go and pray for 1
hour, then
call us back.
When people are really
seeking God for their answers - He
proves Himself faithful and speaks the answer to them in prayer. People
would
call back with the answers.
There
is, however a time to call for the elders and pray in
agreement with others. But the Key is not to trust in others for your
solution,
but TRUST IN THE LORD.
Psalm
147:10-11 declares:
He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes
no pleasure in the legs of a man. The LORD takes pleasure in those who
fear
Him, In those who hope in His mercy.
My confession: "I do not delight in the strength of the horse,
nor the legs
of a man. I fear the Lord and I hope in Him for mercy.”
1
Samuel 30:6
Now David was greatly distressed, for the
people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was
grieved,
every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself
in the
LORD his God.
Talk
to Father God about any trouble you may be facing right
now. There is no better time than now. He takes pleasure in you as you
TRUST in
HIM, and hope in Him. What a relief to Know God, to know He
is the same yesterday,
today and forever, that He was and always will BE - the True and Living
God.
Stop grumbling about people and situations,
be patient and
trust in the Lord.
Hallelujah!!
Strengthen and encourage yourself in the Lord
through prayer. Pray the scriptures into your situation. Agree with God
rather
than your circumstance and see what will happen.
Need help? Pray!!
