Are You Experiencing These Symptoms Of Premenopause Or Menopause?

Fatigue                    Loss of sex drive
Weight gain             Mood swings
Irritability                  Headaches
Depression              Low metabolic rate
Hot flashes
Cold hands and feet
Night sweats
Craving for carbohydrates and sweets
Fatigue upon rising in the morning, leading to caffeine addiction

When women  arrive at doctor’s offices with these symptoms oftentimes doctor’s prescribe antidepressants for them.  What they really need is the hormone progesterone in its natural form . The progesterone level declines 12 times greater than the estrogen level. Natural progesterone may help to protect you against breast cancer, osteoporosis, endometrial cancer and fibrocystic breast disease. It acts as a natural antidepressant, and it may also improve your sex drive. Synthetic progesterones have similar protective effects as natural progesterone; however, they may produce many adverse reactions.

Natural progesterone has a calming effect on the brain. Natural progesterone cream can be found at most health food stores. Dr. Colbert recommends taking natural progesterone cream with approximately 480 milligrams of progesterone per ounce. Use one-quarter teaspoon of natural progesterone cream twice a day, which is about 20 milligrams a day. Rub the cream on your neck, upper chest, inner arms, breasts, palms and thighs. Rotate the sites. Do not rub it in the same place everyday.

If you are premenopausal, use the natural progesterone cream on days 12-26 of your menstrual cycle. (Day one is the first day of your period.) Menopausal women may use it every day of the month.

Mastering Menopause: Myths And Mindsets

What is your reaction to the word ‘MENOPASE’?

Do any one of these words describe your definition?

OH No!!!   •   The End
   •   Despair   •   Hopelessness   •   Fear   •   Gripped

Hot Flashes
   •   Mood Changes   •   Hormone Therapy    •   Thank God!!!

Torment
   •   Outbursts   •   Tears

No matter what word meant something to you is it really the truth?

So what really is the definition of Menopause?  The definition of Menopause is – the absence of menstrual periods for 12 months. Ovary activity ceases.

Now that sounds very simple and in reality it is!!

So, why do so many women have the mindset of despair?

Some of the sources are – their mom’s experience, what they read, what they heard and with no experience except the experience of what they heard, many women will expect (believe) for the worse happening at the season of Menopause.  That thought is a seed that will be meditated on subconsciously for years then when the season of menopause arrives, they give birth to the words described above.

I could never understand how a loving God who created me, would design me for disaster just because my menstrual cycle ceased!!!  According to Psalms 139,   “I am fearfully and wonderfully made”.  I looked at that season of my life as ending and another one beginning.  I actually went through that season with no ‘bumps in the road’.  A year and a half after the cycles ceased, I thought, that was menopause?  Did I miss something?

As I look back, I can see I never expected it.  I can actually say I never focused on that season of my life in prayer, however my daily confession was and is today, that by the stripes of Jesus I am healed.

Menopause perspective begins with understanding what it is.

Knowledge will stop the fear.  Again, all it is…the menstrual cycle ceasing.  The following have been reported as a POSSIBILITY of what might occur.  These symptoms do not apply to everyone and they are NOT to be expected!  Do not look for them, nor compare yourself to someone else – the list is merely a signpost to know the season and keep a stable attitude.

•    Hot flashes
•    Mood changes
•    Abnormal vaginal bleeding
•    Vaginal symptoms
•    Sleeplessness
•    Hormone deficiency
•    Relational problems
•    Confusion
•    Fatigue
•    Wrinkles
•    Forgetfulness
•    Racing heart

Attitude and belief will play a big role during this season.

What you greatly fear will come upon you.  Some questions you might ask yourself –

1)    Are you expecting symptoms?
2)    Are you seeing this as a sign to the end of your life?
3)    What are you identifying with?
4)    What is your source of belief?
5)     Is your source fact, myth or imagination?
6)    Do you know what to do with the thoughts of despair?

Remember thousands of Women enter this stage daily.  Menopause is not an option although options exist for dealing with it both spiritually and naturally.  Be on top of the situation and embrace the fact, that God designed you for this season and He will not forsake you if you follow His ways.

Some ways of embracing Menopause spiritually:

•  Build yourself up by praying in the Holy Ghost. Jude 20-21.
•  God fearfully and wonderfully made you.  Psalms 139
•  He is ever present with and with you for your future.  Isaiah 58:11
•  Even in your old age you will bear fruit – God does not retire you as a Christian.  Psalm 91:14-15
•  He is your source, your confidence, your security.  Isaiah 41:10
•  He is with you even to your gray hairs.  Isaiah 46:4
•  Out of respect for Him (the fear of the Lord) embrace each day – He made it for you.  Psalm 118:24
•  He will deliver and carry you.  Isaiah 46:4
•  Cast your care on Him.  I Peter 5:7
•  No fear!

Preparation Naturally

•  Know that there will be a season for menopause.

•  Determine to take better care of yourself and move forward.

•  Make goals for yourself.

•  If necessary – know that you can restore your body’s hormonal balance naturally and holistically.

•  Titus 2:3-5  - Find an older woman who has gone through the season to inspire you!  Do not compare yourself to her  – obtain her source of wisdom!

•  Increase time for yourself and take it for exercise, do something for yourself, new venture, new career or do something you always wanted to do.

Finally, as Christian Women we can be an inspiration to the world for this season.  As, we take one day at a time trusting God, acknowledging Him, leaning not on our own understanding but doing what He said. Menopause can be so natural – just like brushing your teeth and combing your hair!
