Beach Ready Body!
Think
about your goal. Realize that to deny your flesh is empowering, and
puts you in control. Whatever is tempting you is not all that great in
the big picture anyway. To have it is just taking the pressure off your
flesh. But let's stay under that pressure and attain the goal we are
after. I promise it is not as hard as the devil wants you to think it
is, and you will feel so great. AND the Bible says "if your god is your
appetite you are an enemy of the cross"!!! So there you go! YOU CAN DO
THIS!!! You can have WHATEVER you want!! There is no reason you can't
be completely fit. Trust me. Its not an age thing. You are strong and
mighty!! Don't give yourself the option of failure.
Tips for the treadmill:
• 30 minutes, 5 days a week.
• Work at a heart rate that enables you to say a few words - not a whole conversation - but not to be able to sing.
• Mix it up! Run for 2 min. Walk for 3-4 min.
• Run
like you did when you were a little girl, kick up your heels in the
back for 20-30 seconds then back to a walk. Do this often and you'll
really build some great stamina and muscle, plus it's fun!!
• Relax
everything while your running/walking take the tension out of your
body. Stand tall, pull in your navel, relax and walk. Have fun, listen
to your favorite music or pray in tongues. Personally, if I am not
rehearsing music from one of 3 worship teams I am on, I like to
walk/run to nothing. Peace and quiet. Just pray in tongues. It is my
quiet time! Very uplifting.
Also
think of your cardio time as "I only have 30 minutes, I have to make
every minute count." When I get down to the last ten minutes, I really
press in because I only have 10 minutes to go for my workout all day! I
won't have another chance to burn fat like this until tomorrow! I have
to make it count. Thinking like that really helps the time go fast!
Optimum results:
• No sugar, no bread for 2 weeks. This includes fruit.
• After two weeks, only 1 piece of whole gain bread a day.
• Low sugar fruit, limited amount (a few strawberries, an apple, a handful of blueberries).
• Low sugar vegetables (no corn, carrots, potatoes, beets) anything else ok.
• Lots and lots of veggies!! Cooked, raw, grilled, roasted.
• Lean meat.
• Limited caffeine.
