Breads
Irish Soda Bread
1 Loaf
3 cups of Flour
1/2 c Sugar
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 canister of raisins
2 tbs melted butter
1 beaten egg
1 1/2 cups of buttermilk
Blend the first four ingredients with a fork until well mixed together. Add half a canister of raisins and mix with a fork. Whip together butter and egg and add to the flour mixture. Add buttermilk mix well with a fork press into a greased and floured baking pan. I use a cake pan that you would use to make a layer cake. Bake at 325 for 50 - 60 min until lightly browned on the top and when knife is inserted it comes out clean.
