Greek Grilled Pizza
By Article @ 9:14 AM :: 12 Views :: Appetizer, Main Dish, Italian, BBQ, Greek, Pizza

3 tablespoons olive oil

1/8 teaspoon salt

6 drops red pepper sauce

1 clove garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh basil (2 teaspoons dried)

3 green onions, sliced

2 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped

48 ounces frozen pizza crust dough, thawed

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 ounces feta cheese, crumbled

about 10 olives, cut in half

Combine oil, salt, pepper sauce and garlic together. Set aside 1 tablespoon, then add basil, onions and tomatoes to mixture and toss. Cover and let stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes to blend flavors.

Preheat grill. Divide dough in half and roll each half into 8 inch circles on a floured surface. Carefully place crusts on hot grill and heat for about 1 to 2 minutes or until they begin to brown. Remove crusts from grill.

Place browned side up and brush with the reserved olive oil mixture. Top with tomato mixture, cheeses and olives.

Carefully return to grill. This is easier if you use a cookie sheet to carry the pizzas. Close lid and continue grilling for about 2 to 4 minutes or until bottom has browned and cheese is melted. Serve.
