Soon after my parents were married, my mother got this recipe from her sister. She made this dip every Christmas for family gatherings. I have been making this dip for my husband and friends for about 8 years.
2 cans bean dip 4 avocados, chopped 2 T. lemon juice 1/2 t. salt 1/4 t. pepper 1 c. sour cream 1/2 c. mayonnaise 1 pkg. taco seasoning Mexican cheeses, shredded tomatoes, chopped green peppers, chopped black olives, sliced (optional)
LAYER 1 -Spread bean dip in bottom of a 7x10 pan. LAYER 2 - In a bowl mix together avocado, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Spread on top of bean dip. LAYER 3 - Combine sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasoning in a bowl. Spread onto 2nd layer. LAYER 4- Arrange remaining ingredients to your liking.
Refrigerate 4 hours before serving.
