Valentine's Family Fun Ideas

You don’t have to wait for Valentine’s Day to do them.

Make red, white and pink hearts in different sizes. Write verses or poems on them that have to do with love and friendship. On a larger heart write a short message from you &/or your family. Go to the home of a friend or neighbor when they are not at home. Tape hearts all over their front door. Hang a gift bag with homemade or purchased treats in it on the doorknob. (taken from www.FamilyFun.com)

Ask each member of your family what their favorite pie or dessert is. Make or buy it for them. Set the dinner table as elegantly as possible. Put the whole dessert on their plate as the first course. Let them eat as much a they like. Continue with the rest of the meal.

Hide treats all over the house and let the children find them.

Have each member of the family write notes to each other telling each person what they love about them. (You will have to write it for the little ones.)

Make a goodie bag for neighbors or co-workers. Include a bible in the bag. Underline scriptures that tell of God’s love.

Have everyone think of something nice they can do for someone they do not necessarily like or get along with. They could give the person a gift, make a card, make homemade goodies or serve them in some way.

Have each family member pick names out of a hat of another family member. They have to do a chore or service that family member asks them to do. It cannot be the thing they have to do for the person whose name they picked.

Serve at a homeless shelter.

Ask each family member to pray about giving something away that they “love” to whoever the Lord tells them to give it to.

Make it a heart-shaped day. Together make heart-shaped pancakes or eggs for breakfast with heart-shaped toast. Don’t forget the strawberries and whipped cream. Make heart-shaped sandwiches for lunch. Make and decorate a heart-shaped cake. Decorate it with hearts and pink frosting. Make heart-shaped cookies &/or candies. Make spaghetti and meatballs for dinner or something else that will keep up the red theme.

Fun Ideas For Couple

You don’t have to wait for Valentine’s Day to do them.

Create your own at home spa.

Make it a night where you do things he thoroughly enjoys (even if you don’t necessarily like it). Go to eat where he likes to go or make what he likes to eat.

Write him notes and leave them everywhere…in his drawers, his pockets, his breakfast, his lunch, in the refrigerator, the car, on the toilet, the bathroom mirror, the door, and any place else you can think of.

With your money book a night at a hotel. Give him a note when he leaves for work as to when and where he should meet you or email, text or call him during the day to notify him.

Surprise him by taking a massage class.
You can become his personal masseuse.

Make up heart-shaped cards with services you will perform for your husband when he gives them to you. For example – a night out with the guys; Get out of a fight free card; eating in front of the TV card; mowing the lawn; washing and waxing his car; etc.

Make a CD with your favorite love songs on it and set the mood for listening to it and loving on him.
