Colors can impact a variety of things. For instance,
Green gives the feel of peace, freshness, hope and clarity. Purple can encourage imagination and creativity. Blue decreases blood pressure and temperature. It also helps one to concentrate, thus increasing productivity levels. Brown creates an environment with the feel of stability. Orange is a friendly and welcoming color. Pink actually can cause a sense of safety and helps alleviate anger. Yellow can enhance concentration, but it is a difficult color for the eye to adjust to. Red stimulates appetite…and emotions.
How does this affect you and your home?
If you want your home to be welcoming, add some orange accents…even browns that have orange in them will do the trick.
If you are painting a room where you work or study, blue and green can be great combination. Feeling fresh and productive are beneficial in this environment.
Some sport teams paint their opponents locker rooms pink…can you guess why?
Yellow rooms tend to produce anger and crying babies. I wouldn’t paint my nursery yellow. Blue, Pink or green might be better choices.
Brown, whether you paint your walls or ceilings or have brown cabinets…will create a sense of genuineness and stability.
If you’re trying to lose weight, painting your kitchen or dining room red would be the wrong selection.
Now, colors are not the answer to problems, but God did give us color to enhance our lives.
How many times have you looked at the sky in the early morning or evening and seen a color combination you never have dreamed about?
Using certain colors in certain places can be used to your advantage or disadvantage.
