Beaded Glass Ornaments

Supplies needed:

1. Hot glue gun and sticks 2. Large frosted glass ornaments 3. Colored beaded garland
Begin by heating up your glue gun. Take your frosted glass ornament and begin putting medium sized drops of hot glue on the glass. Press the bead garland on as you go. The garland is on a plastic string and the beads hang down, so once you have made a complete circle around the ornament with the strand, take time to glue on the hanging strands to fill in empty spots. The idea is for the beads to completely cover the glass ornament, so even if it seems like it’s a bit messy, just wait to see the finished product.
Continue hot gluing the bead strand on until you have completely covered the glass ornament. I found it easier at times to cut the strand a few times for more uniformity. Then I would begin gluing the strand on again as I did in the beginning. The beads are held on very well so you shouldn’t lose any beads.
This is a project to my older children because of the hot glue. They do a great job and gain great confidence from creating a more advanced ornament.
